There are a couple of clouds on the Texas horizon. The loss of pitcher Cliff Lee to Philadelphia can be considered nothing less of huge. But, stats point to the fact Lee won only four of his 10 decisions in 2010 with the Rangers. He had an ERA just below 4.00. Where he totally excelled was through the American League Playoffs. Without his arm, it is doubtful Texas would have made it to the World Series.

The Ranger lineup is loaded with talent. Second Baseman Ian Kinsler is the 2011 lead-off batter providing excellent on-base speed. Hes followed by Short Stop Elvis Andrus and then DH-turned-FB Michael Young. Superstar Josh Hamilton is out for two months with a shoulder fracture. This has caused Manager Ron Washington to scramble the lineup moving Young up-front followed by Third Baseman Adrian Beltre who should prove to be a productive and powerful clean-up hitter. The fifth spot is owned by Neslon Cruz if he stays healthy. He should be expectedly productive swing the bat effectively. The sixth slot is currently fitted by LF David Murphy and the seventh spot sees either catchers Yorvit Torrealba or Mike Napoli depending on whos pitching for the opposition. The eight slot sees newly appointed DH Mitch Moreland and th3e final slot in the starting lineup is set for CF Julio Borbon.
