San Francisco Giants Baseball Games Live Online
Can the San Francisco Giants Repeat Glory in 2011? Fans will get the opportunity to see pitching phenom Tim Lincecum when they watch the San Francisco Giants online in the 2011 season. Lincecum is one of the reasons the Giants. Lincecum has 28 games in which he has struck out 10 or more batters since making his Big League debut in 2007. The Elias Sports Bureau reports that's tied with Christy Mathewson for the most in Giants franchise history since 1900.
Recently, in a game at the Colorado Rockies, Lincecum had a no-hitter going into the eighth. If Lincecum does pitch a no-hitter this season, it could very well come against Colorado. Of his four longest no-hit bids, three have come against the Rockies.
But, it will be the Giant bats that produce the razzle and dazzle most fans are looking to see. And, with the era of Barry Bonds fading in the rear-view mirror, other stars are coming to the plate. The Giants' offense is an odd bunch of promising young talent and discarded veterans, but proven to be effectively successful as displayed in the 2010 World Series run.
The NL Rookie of the Year, Buster Posey, should continue to establish himself as a dominant bat swinger by hitting 20-25 home runs with a .300/.360/.500 line. The teamís leadoff hitter, Andres Torres, pleasantly surprised most of baseball with his 2010 outing. He displayed speed and surprising power that helped refuel a struggling offense. Torres strikes out way too much to be penciled in as a leadoff hitter (25 percent of his at-bats), but he does post a respectable OBP (on-base percentage) providing the only real base stealing threat in the lineup.
He should record a similar 2011 season pounding in 13 home runs, 25 stolen bases, and a .260/.340/.435 line.
